Exploring Barwalla Waterfall

Before the Kijpora bridge visitor have to take left turn if visitor are coming from Ganderbal side to reach this picturesque waterfall of Barwalla

There are various waterfalls in Kashmir that are yet to be explored and Barwalla waterfall is one among them. The waterfall can contribute tremendously in making the valley a true paradise. Barwalla is a village in Kangan Tehsil of district Ganderbal of Jammu and Kashmir. It is 25 km from capital Srinagar. Barwala waterfall is situated from 1 km form Kijpora bridge or Dumping park of Kangan. Before the Kijpora bridge visitor have to take left turn if visitor are coming from Ganderbal side to reach this picturesque waterfall of Barwalla . The place is abuzz with gushing water from a man made channel (waterfall). The Nallah origin from Harmukh mountain and flows though Naranag and joins with Kakanala which also origin from Harmukh mountain. After meeting of both rivers at barwala river joins with Sindh river near Kijpora bridge.
Barwalla Waterfall is most scenic and beautiful and it is among the biggest manmade waterfall of Kashmir. The place is surrounded by beautiful trees . The picturesque place is best for bathing, fishing , photography, bonfire. April to October is best time visit to Barwalla waterfall. The youth of Srinagar and Ganderbal coming here for bathing on the north side of waterfall.
When I visit there I loved the sounds of waterfall and water droplets on my face. I spent some time at the bridge which is on the top side of waterfall. The entire area is surrounded by the trees. Families come here for quick picnic and enjoys the sound of waterfall, taking pictures, also there is bridge over the top of channel which can idle for photography. There is nearby ground where you can park your vehicle
Lot of development to be done around the surrounding of the waterfall so beautiful waterfall can be explored more. There is need of parks to establishment around the surrounding of the waterfall that will make it more attractive. People can sit comfortable and enjoy the waterfall. The is need of setting of entertainment facility also there is need establishing of cafeteria.
