From AR Music Studios ‘Peer Myanio’ to ‘Harmukh Bartal’

Music Record Label commonly known as A R Music Studios (ARMS) has been reviving the Kashmir music since 2012. ARMS is known for some of the best Kashmiri folk songs that have been recently revived for the music lovers.

“We are reviving the Kashmiri music since 2012,” founder of AMRS Jaan Nissar Lone told Brighter Kashmir over phone from Mumbai.
He said that revive all sort of Kashmiri music be it Sufi, culture is traditional music.
“After we started to revive the Kashmiri music, scores of non-Kashmiri people started to sing the Kashmiri songs,” he said.
“I consider myself lucky as I have been a bridge between the Kashmiri music and outsiders. I am trying my best to reach to the expectations of our people,” Jaan Nissar told Brighter Kashmir.
Jaan Nissar and Rani Hazarika inaugurated ARMS in the year 2009 by famous Bollywood personalities like Neil Nitin Mukesh and other prominent Bollywood celebrities.
Singer Rani Hazarika is a cherished Bollywood singer. She has sung for many superhit movies and has given popular foot tapping songs like ‘Salam-e-Wazwaane’, ‘Maenzi Raath’, and melodies like ‘Katyu Chhukh Nundbaane’. Hazarika belongs to renowned music dynasty of Assam.
“All the big guns of Bollywood have recorded music at our studio. Celebrities like Shah Rukh Khan, Arijit Singh, Palak Muchhal, Shreya Goshal, Sunidhi Chouhan have recorded at our studio,” Jaan Nisar told Brighter Kashmir.
Nissar said that he always wanted to remain connected to his roots which prompted him to create Kashmiri numbers while doing music for Bollywood.
ARMS team recently revived the famous Kashmiri song ‘Peer Myanio’. The song is written by lyricist Peer Zahoor and sung by Sniti Mishra. The sing was composed and directed by Jaan Nissar.
Another Kashmiri song that the studio revived is ‘Khodaya’. The popular Kashmiri song ‘Harmukh Bartal’ was too done by ARMS.
“Harmukh Bartal did not only get the appreciation it deserved. However, the song was incorporated in famous web series ‘The Family Man’, starring Manoj Bhajpayee,” the founder of ARMS said.
“We started to get recognition in 2014 after we released a Sufi super hit soundtrack ‘Allah Teri Kya Shaan Hai’. The song was for ‘18.11 A Code of Secrecy’ movie. The song was chosen as the best Sufi song of the year by Mirchi Music Awards,” ARMS founder said.
In 2019, ARMS in association with Rajshri Entertainment released a romantic song titled ‘Khuda Meherbaan’.
The song featured Jaan Nissar Lone and Ananya Sengupta. The video for the song was done by Keshhav Panneriy and the lyrics were penned by Shabbir Ahmed. ‘Khuda Meherbaan’ was composed and sung by Jaan Nissar Lone.
In 2020, ARMS was again in news and was admired by people for the song ‘Rubaru’ for the Hindi romantic film ‘Ginny Weds Sunny’.
The song ‘Rubaru’ was by the core team members of ARMS, Peer Zahoor.
In 2021, ARMS created a stunning song, ‘Teri Yaad’, with Rahul Bhatt in Kashmir. The song was inaugurated at SKICC Srinagar.
ARMS team consists of Sniti Mishra, vocalist and strategic head Peer Zahoor, creative head and lyricist Nazir Ganaie, Director PR and Communications Ravees Bhat, North head for ARMS.
ARMS also held a music event at SKICC in Kashmir, Jammu and Kashmir Private Secretary to LG Nitish Kumar was its chief guest.
“We would soon come up with North India’s biggest music academy for Kashmir’s budding artists in the valley of Kashmir and we are soon coming up with more Bollywood songs in near future. We will soon give a very good news to our audience,” Nazir Ganaie said.
Ravees Bhat said that ARMS has prepared write-up for a movie titled ‘Mast Malang’ and are quite confident that it will strike big.
