Kashmir Markazi Adab-w-saqafat, Chrar-i-Sharief conducted an impressive on - line programme to pay tribute to legendary poet, novelist and writer , par exellance, Late Ghulam Nahi Gowhar, on his 2nd death anniversary.

Presided over the function wheras Prof. Mohammad Zaman Azurda ,  was chief guest . 

      Professor Bashar Bashir, Professor Shaad Ramzan, professional Farooq Fayaz , Gh Nabi Atish and Dr Sohan Lal Koul , prominent writer and former Adl. D. G. Prasar Bharti , Dr Rafiq Masoodi  participated in the on line seminar as guests of honour. 

President , Kashmir  Markazi Adab-w-saqafat, Chrar-i-Sharief, Dr Gazanfar Ali delivered the presidential address whereas, General Secretary, Inayat Gul presented vote of thanks. 

     Ibni Shahbaaz and Inayat Gul conducted proceedings of the programme in a stylish and professional manner, which made the entire programme  lively , colourful and thought provoking. 

   A large number of eminent poets, writers and literary personalities of  Jammu and Kashmir and from across the country, participated in the on line programme and paid their glowing tribute to late Gh Nabi Gowhar. These included noted writer and former D.G Accounts and treasuries, Wali Mohd Aseer Kashtwari, former Adl. DG, Door Darshan, srinagar, Dr Rafiq Masoodi, Famous Film Director and script writer, Mirza Mohi-ud Din, who connected to the on line programme directly  from Mumbai, noted writer Prem Nath Shad  , 

Theatre Director, Mushtaq Ali Khan, eminent  Poet and translator, Mushtaq Buraq, writer and Editor daily Tameel-e-Irshaad, Nazim Nazir, editor, english daily Brighter Kashmir, Farooq Wani, prominent commentator and artist, Sahitya Academy, New Delhi, Anupam Tiwari, poet,writer and ex. District Information Officer, Budgam Mushtaq Mehram,  expert shiekhul Almiyaat,Gh Nabi Adfar, Abdul Ahad Gulshan, Naeem Kashmiri, Assad-ullah Asad, Sharir Hussain Shabir, Yaseen Madhoosh, Ali Ahsan and Gh Rasool Sadoor .  

       The speakers while highlighting the mutifacted dimensions of the life of Late Gh Nabi Gowhar , hailed his contribution in the fields of art, culture and literature . They said late Gowhar introduced Noval writing in kashmiri, as an important form for expression of artistic feelings. Gowhar was presented prestigious awarded from the Sahitya academy for being an eminent Novelist. 

   They  also highlighted his commendable research oriented work done on Rishi philosophy as preached by Shiekh Noor-ud-Din Wali ( RA) in his verses commonly known as " shiekh shruks"  He  authored an authenticated  collection of Shiekh-Shruks, which will act as torch bearer for the students in the fields of research and literature. 

     While paying glowing tribute to late Gh Nabi Gowhar, the speakers said he was the author of above 48 books  in urdu, kashmiri and English languages on varied topics , in which Gowhar sb revealed the socio- political and cultural richness of the kashmiri language and literature besides highlighting the socio-economic  plight of people.  " Political History of Kashmir through the prism of Oppression and suppression of Kashmir people for decades and " Insurgency in kashmir " are his  exclusive books dealing with the Socio-political aspects of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. 

     Later,Secretary Kashmir Markaz-i-Bazam -w-saqafat, inayat Gul presented vote of thanks.
