Markazi Adab,Chrar conducts on line seminar to highlight his contribution
Kashmir Markazi Adab-w-saqafat, Chrar-i-Sharief conducted an impressive on - line seminar to pay tribute to legendary writer , scholar and critic - par excellence, Late Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din Hajni on his 103rd anniversary.
The on- line seminar was presided over by famous writer Dr Sohan Lal koul. President of the Markazi Adab , Dr Gazanfar Ali Gazal deleverd welcome address whereas the General Secretary, Inayat Gul conducted proceedings of the on-line seminar.
Among those who participated in the seminar included Manshoor Banihali, Mushtaq Burq, Rashid Jowhar, Haji Muzzafar Jan, Gh Rasool Sadoor, Raheem Rehbar and Mushtaq Mehram.
The speakers while paying glorious tributes to Late Professor Hajni, highlights his contribution in the fields Kashmir art, culture and socio-pllitocal developments. They said Professor Hajni had made promotion and development of Kashmir art and culture as a mission of his life. He persued this mission through out his life as an act of faith. They said since Professor Hajini was an authority in Kashmir, Urdu, English, Persian and Arabic languages and literature, he translated several masterpieces in kashmiri language to broaden the horizon of kashmiri literature. He was first literary figure who consciously introduced prose writing as a medium of expression . He translated "Mussadas Haali" and Dastan "Alif Laila " for which he was awarded by the Sahitya Academy. Sahitya academy also awarded him for his literary works including " Malalaati Hajini " and "koshur Nassar "
Former Secretary Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages and noter poet, Aziz Hajni presided over the function while as Prof. Mohammad Zaman Azurda , was chief guest .
Professor Bashar Bashir, Professor Shaad Ramzan, professional Farooq Fayaz , Gh Nabi Atish and Dr Sohan Lal Koul , prominent writer and former Adl. D. G. Prasar Bharti , Dr Rafiq Masoodi participated in the on line seminar as guests of honour.
President , Kashmir Markazi Adab-w-saqafat, Chrar-i-Sharief, Dr Gazanfar Ali delivered the presidential address whereas, General Secretary, Inayat Gul presented vote of thanks.

A large number of eminent poets, writers and literary personalities of Jammu and Kashmir and from across the country, participated in the on line programme and paid their glowing tribute to late Gh Nabi Gowhar.
