18 new healthcare centers to be commissioned in Kashmir

In order to boost the health care facilities in the valley, 18 new healthcare centers have been constructed and will be commissioned soon, officials said here today. They said that the buildings for 18 new healthcare centers have been completed and would be dedicated to the public very soon. “Critical care is being provided to various patients in health institutions of the valley free of cost in the valley,” they added. Besides, they said digital X-ray and other medical and diagnostic equipments are being installed in District Hospital Budgam shortly. Meanwhile, Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir Baseer Ahmad Khan has directed all Chief Medical Officers (CMOs) to ensure proper sanitation and cleanliness in and around all the Health institutions in the valley. He directed the concerned to take up all the matters including land acquisition issues with the concerned Deputy Commissioners so that the buildings are completed within the stipulated time. Mr Khan directed the Director Health Services Kashmir to submit a comprehensive requirement of medicos, paramedics and other healthcare staff. He also asked the concerned to come up with details of ambulance and other medicare and diagnostic equipment required for smooth functioning of healthcare institutions of the valley
