A two-day orientation programme on Central Registration Act for Registrars and Sub Registrars today commenced at Jammu and Kashmir Institute of Management, Public Administration & Rural Development (JK IMPARD).
Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Baseer Ahmad Khan who was the chief guest on the occasion, said that the orientation program is of great importance for the registrars and sub registrars as they have been assigned with huge responsibility.
While asking these officials to discharge their duties with the sense of responsibility, Baseer Khan asked them to go through the guidelines of the Registration Act and ensure the accuracy of the documents while conducting registrations.
It was informed that, with regard to the Central Registration Act 1908, officers in the Revenue Department have been designated as Registrars and Sub Registrars for the purpose of making registration in the matters of the transfer of properties.
During the two-day program, the participants will be familiarized with different provisions and the mechanism provided under Central Registration Act for its effective enforcement.
To ensure maximum interaction and involvement of officers, the methodology of this orientation program includes participatory interactive sessions and learning methods such as lecture-cum-discussion sessions, presentations, experience sharing and best practices.
The sessions are being held by the prominent resource persons including Retd. Principal District and Session Judge, Mohammad Nazir Fida, Retd. Principal District and Session Judge, Syed Javaid Ahmed and Former Additional Advocate General, Public Prosecutor and standing council for Union of India, Karnail Singh.
Additional Inspector General Registrations, Kashmir, Bilal Ahmed Bhat; Director Trainings, JK IMPARD Srinagar, Dr Mushtaq A Khan and other concerned were also present during the program.
