General Secretary of Dukhtaran-e-Millat, Nahida Nasreen, on Saturday said that, ahead of the visit of the Indian All-party delegation, the Indian occupying forces has unleashed brutality in its worst form across Kashmir.
“From the past two days, Indian occupying forces have brutalized whole Kashmir. On Friday hundreds of person were pelleted, beaten and arrested in Shopian area while as today, hundreds of persons have been showered with pellets and bullets in Ranipora area of South Kashmir’s Islamabad district,” she said.
Nasreen said that in Srinagar also, hundreds of youth were injured when these occupying forces went berserk in areas including Batamaloo, Habbakadal and other areas. “In Bottashah Mohalla, Lal Baazar, pellets were rained on Rafiq Ahmad Zargar (father), his 8-year old son Zafeer Zargar and five-year-old daughter, Bareen Zargar late on Friday evening. They are battling for life at Srinagar’s SMHS hospital,” she added.
“I want to ask this shameless puppet CM, Mehbooba Mufti, that which camp was this 5-year-old girl attacking that she was fired at with hundreds of pellets from close range,” she added                                           .
She said that this was brutality in its worst form.” All this is done to break the resolve of people of JK from pursuing the resistance movement going against the illegal Indian occupation from the past two months,” she said.
She said that people in Kashmir and in the Muslim majority belt of Jammu have deiced that they will take this movement to its logical conclusion. “India, its forces and the stooges can go to any extent to brutalize Kashmiris but this brutality   won’t break our resolve but strengthens it,” she added.
Nasreen further said that forces on Saturday morning picked up Syed Mohammad Tauha Andrabi, brother of DeM chairperson, Syedah Aasiyeh Andrabi, from his residence and have kept him detained at an undisclosed location. “ He was arrested without being given any reason. Prior to this his brother-in-law, Pervaiz Maqbool Shah Sahib, was arrested and he is languishing in Central jail from the past two months,” she added.
Nasreen said that their fault is that , like every Kashmiri, this family also wants to see an end to the Indian occupation and live a free life. “ No matter how much this family is repressed, it will continue to follow and pursue this resistance movement until this illegal Indian occupation  ends.”
