24 surgeries performed on pellet victims: BWF

Borderless World Foundation –Jammu, Kashmir & Ladakh (BWF-JKL) in collaboration with Borderless World Foundation, Pune, and Department of Ophthalmology, SMHS Hospital have conducted 24 major retinal surgeries on pellet victims, a spokesman of the organization said in a statement.
He said the team of four doctors headed by Dr S Nataranjan Director, Aditya Jyot Hospital, Mumbai, are in the Valley for performing these surgeries at SMHS hospital.
“The team of doctors have been in SMHS hospital since 26th July 2016 afternoon and had conducted 24 major surgeries till 27th July late evening. Another Team of Doctors is scheduled to arrive in Valley in the next week for the sake of patient care,” the spokesman said.
