3-Day Painting Exhibition Inaugurated at Kala Kendra

The Principal Secretary , Department of Culture and Tribal Affairs, Suresh Kumar Gupta, today inaugurated a three-day painting exhibition by Pallavi Sambhyal, organized by the Kala Kendra Society, here at the G R Santosh Gallery.
The inaugural event witnessed the presence of a number of dignitaries including Secretary of Jammu & Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages, Sanjeev Rana; Secretary of Kala Kendra Society, Dr. Javaid Rahi; Regional Director of IGNCA, Shruti Awasthi; Convenor of INTECH, S M Sahni, Ravinder Kaul noted Art Critic and Dr. Arvinder Singh Amn Former Additional Secretary Academy, among others.
A diverse visitors comprising artists and individuals from various walks of life graced the occasion with their presence and participation.
In his welcoming address, Dr. Javaid Rahi highlighted the exhibition's focus on showcasing the rich landscape of Jammu and Kashmir through the 50 paintings on display. He emphasized that the event aims to provide a platform for J&K artists to exhibit their talent.
Suresh Kumar Gupta commended the artwork of Pallavi Sambhyal, noting its reflection of the diverse landscapes of Jammu and Kashmir. He underscored the recent initiative of Kala Kendra Jammu in reopening all galleries for artists to exhibit their work, encouraging artists to take advantage of this opportunity. He further announced the government's plans to develop Kala Kendra Jammu as a primary center for visual and performing arts.
Sanjeev Rana who was special guest on the occasion said that Pallavi’s work is largely influenced by nature and its scenic beauty. She excellently painted with water and others should follow her.
Pallavi Sambhyal born and brought up in Samba District of Jammu region. She also shared her journey as an artist, expressing her passion for portraying the beauty of Jammu and Kashmir through her landscape paintings. She is also giving training to youngster in the fileld of art and designing.
