‘Thieves used heavy equipments to cut tin sheets of the shed and managed to steel 35 sheep worth lakhs of rupees’
Nearly 35 sheep were stolen from a shed in central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
The incident took place during intervening night of January 12 and 13 in Chek-e-Pohru DK Pora area of district Budgam.
The victim has been identified as Abdul Rehman Guru son of Abdul Samad.
Abdul Rehman Guru said that the thieves have used equipments to cut the tin sheets of the shed and managed to steel 35 sheep worth lakhs of rupees.
“I contacted neighbours and looked in other areas but there is no sign of sheep. Thieves might have used a heavy motor vehicle for the purpose,” he said.
He said that there were 17 ewes and 18 lambs, all of the local breed.
He said that a report stands filed at a local police station.
