52 commercial vehicles provided to unemployed youth in Pulwama

A detailed review of achievements of various programs of Mission Youth was held today in a meeting of District Level Task Force Committee (DLTFC) under the chairmanship of Additional District Development Commissioner Pulwama Dr. Sheikh Abdul Aziz.

Officer on Special Duty for Mission Youth and incharge for district Pulwama, Mohammad Shafait appraised the meeting about various livelihood, skill, career and psycho-social counseling, drug de-addiction, recreation and social engagement related initiatives of Mission Youth.

DLTFC was made aware about aims and objectives, eligibility criteria, selection process and funding pattern under various schemes of Mission Youth like Tejaswini, Mumkin, Rise Together (Community Entrepreneurship), SAHAYTA (Youth in Distress), Spurring Entrepreneurship, development of Tourist Village network, Dental Clinics Scheme, Skill Development, AVSAR, PAARVAZ, establishment of District Youth Centres and Youth club, Universities collaboration initiatives, JK Super-75( boys and girls), Nav Parivartan for holistic and pragmatic youth engagement and empowerment on sustainable lines.

The meeting was further informed that under Mumkin scheme, 52 commercial vehicles are provided to unemployed youth with Mission Youth contributing Rs. 39 Lakh subsidy and another 100 cases are in pipeline for disbursal.

Under Tejaswini 70 applications are received which are being processed for sanctioning. Further 5 villages including Aripal, Shikargah, Paner Jagger, Sangerwani and Naristan are identified to be developed as tourist villages with state of art infrastructure, besides Youth Self Help Groups of these villages will be incentivised to start up various self employment activities.

Referring to the unspent amount of Rs. 29 lakh subsidy under Mumkin scheme, ADDC directed AD Employment to get DLIC conducted to disburse pending cases within a week time.

Referring to instructions of LG’s Administration for providing self employment to 5 youth per panchayat in the district, the ADDC directed concerned to finalise identification process of beneficiaries panchayat wise and link them under various livelihood initiatives of Mission Youth.

He also directed the concerned officers to generate mass awareness about these self employment schemes on mission mode so that the public can avail the benefits of the same.

The meeting was attended by DSEO Noushad Ahmad; CEO A.H. Rafiqi, FM DIC Amir-ul-Haq, AD Employment Hafsa Bazaz, DYSSO Noor ul Haq, DNO EDI Ansar Ullah, JEO Rayees Iqbal, bank official and officials of Employment and Information Department.
