8th Korea – India tourist attractions through essay competition

It is India’s largest ever Essay Competition for School Students on international topics, organized by Korean Cultural Centre India. This annual competition was organized eighth time in a row. This year, the competition witnessed more than 34,700 students eagerly showing their love for Korea.34,756 Participants, 642 Schools, 28 States and 8 Union Territories – knowledge and interest about South Korea spread far and wide, all across India. Tens of Thousands of Indian students were exposed towards the culture, history and tourist attractions of Republic of Korea through this essay competition.

The award ceremony was held on 23rd October at Korean Cultural Centre India in New Delhi through virtual meeting. H.E. Mr. Shin Bongkil, Ambassador of Republic of Korea appreciated the winners. Mr. Ilyong Hwang, Director, Korean Cultural Center India was also present. The top three winners among the senior group got a free trip each to Korea for 6 Days and 5 Nights. Rest of the 41 winners will got total cash prizes of Rupees One Lakh Nineteen thousand (Rs. 1,19,000) and trophies.
The competition had different topics and prizes for Senior and Junior Groups. Junior Group consisted of classes 6 to 9 and its Topic wa“How will I introduce South Korea to my friends”19,813 Students participated in Junior Group.Senior Group consisted of classes 10 to 12 and its Topic was-“How South Korea inspires me”14,943 Students participated in Senior Group.
Comments of the Winners are as follows:--Senior 1st Prize – Sarvesh Prabhu, Delhi Public School, Raipur, Semariya-2, Chhattisgarh.
Senior 2nd A Prize – Satakshi Sharma, Khaitan Public School, Sector 5, Sahibabad, Uttar Pradesh.
Junior 1st Prize – Ravinandini Singh Chauhan, The Lawrence School, Sanawar, Distt. Solan, Himacal Pradesh.
