IGP Kashmir visits Srinagar parts amid Corona curfew in Kashmir

Inspector General of Police Kashmir zone Vijay Kumar Wednesday visited various parts of Srinagar on Wednesday to oversee enforcement of the covid-19 curfew amid continuing increase in the number of the virus cases and fatalities due to it in Kashmir Valley.
Official said that the top police officer of the Kashmir along with DIG CRPF interacted with deployments of police and paramilitary forces on the ground.
He is learnt to have issued instructions to enforce the curfew while allowing doctors and paramedical staff as well as journalists towards their respective destinations without difficult.
Authorities are enforcing strict restrictions in Kashmir Valley, a day after people were seen flouting curbs imposed to arrest the spread of the virus.
On May 11, J&K reported highest single day spike of 65 corona deaths while 4352 people were confirmed to have contracted the disease in the 24 hours.
Experts have been advising people to stay home to break the chain of the virus when health system has been already stretched to limit.
