The Army is constantly undertaking several initiatives for the betterment of the people in the Valley. It has played a significant role in the development and upliftment of the education system in the Kashmir Valley and the same is evident from the outstanding results achieved by the students of the schools aided by the Army. Besides imparting quality education, Army has considered the present scenario of COVID-19 pandemic and has taken the effort for providing medical supplies and equipment for school children and teachers of Government High School, Rawalpora to prevent the spread of disease and contributing in keeping a check on COVID-19 pandemic in the children of Kashmir especially those coming from the underprivileged sections of the society.
For safeguarding school going children and teachers who are most vulnerable to COVID-19, Army has distributed medical supplies and equipment to children and teachers of Government High School, Rawalpora. On 29 Jul 2020, the Army provided medical supplies and equipment to staff of the school to prevent the spread of COVID-19. The teachers were also encouraged to make best use of the ideal integrated educational ecosystem being provided to them for their all round personality development. The teachers were while duly maintaining adequate social distancing handed over the medical supplies & equipment so that they could be handed over to them which in turn could be sent across to the needy children of their school.
