Under the direction of District Election Officer Udhampur, Saloni Rai, a series of awareness programs under SVEEP (Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation) are underway in Ramnagar and other parts of district.
As part of this initiative, a significant event took place at Birnoo. SDM Ramnagar, Rafiq Ahmad Jaral, graced the occasion as the chief guest.
SDM urged voters to actively participate in upcoming Lok Sabha election scheduled for 19th April 2024.
A similar awareness programme under SVEEP was organised at Government High School Bari by Bodh Raj Sharma, Principal, who is also Nodal Officer SVEEP, under the supervision of Sub Divisional Magistrate Ramnagar, Rafiq Ahmad Jaral. The event witnessed huge gathering and featured various activities emphasising the significance of voting in strengthening democracy.
About 50 local folk artists engaged the public by demonstrating a myriad of cultural activities on the paramount importance of voting and aiming to motivate voters to vote .
