Bandipora youth critical after hit by a bullet in chest at Rangreth

A youth suffered grievous injuries during clashes between protesters and government forces in Rangreth area on the outskirts of Srinagar on Thursday.
Reports said that there were mild stone pelting in the area and forces fired to disperse the stone throwers.
A youth namely Nazir Ahmad, a resident of Bandipora was injured during the clashes.
He was immediately rushed to JVC hospital Srinagar where he was provided necessary first aid and was shifted to SKIMS Srinagar for specialized treatment.
Reports also said that the youth is critical as he is being operated upon by doctors.
Meanwhile, the locals in Rangreth said that forces ‘target fired’ at Nazir Ahmad when he was standing near a local shop.
Reports said that Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) personnel were withdrawing from the area when they came under stone-pelting.
“They (SSB) resorted to aerial firing to disperse the protesters. One youth was injured,” they added.
