"Chai" an Ironic Name to Take the Bribe

Govt can be defined as a group of people with the authority to govern a country or state ,is always directly connected with people at a workplace where human resource is employed on permanent or contractual basis to do a variety of works such as assorting of documents, making bills, releasing salary, maintaining records, planning of future etc. These are the ways over which bridge of faith is created between Govt and people.
The Govt is able to observe each and every district with the employees working at workplaces whether the demands or requirements of people are fulfilled or not. This connection is firmly shaped and within no time every kind of data or work is scrutinized properly and accordingly further actions and plans are initiated.
The relationship which is built by employees and common people based on pious norms and every commoner feels relax to fulfil his demands and requirements whenever he approaches to any department. The employees are exclusively meant for the service of human kind and for smooth functioning of society, instead they are getting salary or wages from the Govt. The human kind service is believed to be divine activity as it helps in removing the people from miseries and sufferings. These employees are subject to be free from corruption, embezzlement, fraud, dishonesty etc otherwise this relationship can be proved hellish for common people.
The workplaces where employees are working are constructed in innovative ways. These are equipped with modern technological instruments such as computers, overhead projectors, biometric system, air conditioners, safety devices and decorated with crafty furniture’s. CC TV cameras are also installed to monitor the workplaces thoroughly thus employees get least chance to be involved in any kind of anti-social activity.
The etiquettes which must be followed to employees at workplaces are to behave with clients in a sensible and appropriate manner, respect their ideas and demands, don't make fun of them, express opinion without adding any negative emotions and reconcile which are acceptable. Moreover response people in positive way otherwise this will reflect bad image of the department.
Departmental etiquettes are basically needed at the workplace, this ensures in maintaining the humanity and friendliness atmosphere and thus the relationship between employees and people goes stronger and stronger.
Unfortunately this sacred relationship is looking shabby, suspicious and mistrusted on applying illegal ways by employees such as showing aggression, negation, anger at frequent times and delaying in completing the work of needy people.
But most grave concern is bribe , its act of offering, receiving, or soliciting, directly or indirectly is having worrying and harsh results. Bribe can be a gift, money, property or even a personal favour. Oftentimes the bribe is taken or given in Private corners because attempting to take the bribe is shame and embarrassment and briber feels a great deal of social pressure . So employees take every kind of precautionary measures while dealing in receiving or offering bribe.
Kashmir as a paradisiacal place is rated on top in bribery at different departments including lifeline departments of education and health. This issue has given an alarm of brutal consequences in future but everyone looks rock solid and blackened heart in refraining from it, even many times anti corruption bureau(ACP) has taken strong notice against bribers and many of them have booked in jail but they too fail to curb it at root level.
Amazingly in Kashmir the bribe has taken an ironic name " Chai" which eases the way to employees to receive or offer it. This ironic name is known to every body including all Govt offices. This nefarious act has deep roots and rapidly growing and from past few years this has disrupted image of Kashmir badly. In Govt departments the chain of bribery has built strongly right from a simple peon to higher official and equally sharing bribe from bottom to top so how come an honest employee can survive to work under the belt of this bribery atmosphere and if he is doing so to keep a close eye on the bribers instead he is facing the threats of transfer or cessation of increments.
In bribery poor people are badly effected as they are not to able to pay bribe and they are being hampered in processing their documental work. With this their life miseries are increasing more and more and remain as poor- stricken always. Every nefarious act is being applied openly in departments in order to make bribery successful such as lies, dishonesty, fraud, embezzlement, satirical attitude, misbehaviour etc. Being Muslims we do not ashamed in indulging it when already strict Shariah laws always give us alarm of harsh punishment.
So keeping in view the sacred relationship between employees and common people , at least try to control it in taking publicly in the name of " Chai" otherwise it could fadeout the holy and divine image of our Islam and calling as a Muslim is no more a suitable symbolic representation for us.
