The shivering cold-wave was continuing in the state after recent rain or snowfall as mercury was recorded several degrees below normal in the snowline areas and near freezing points in other places.According to the Met Department, Keylong, district headquarter of Lahaul Spiti, recorded minus 9.2 degree C. Kalpa in Kinnuar was minus 0.6 degrees, Manali was recorded at zero degrees, Bhuntar 0.9 degrees, Sundernagar in Mandi 1.8 degrees, Solan 2.5 degrees, Chamba 2.9 degrees and Palampur in Kangar 4.5 degrees.Shimla was at 5.8 degrees, Kangar 5.2 degrees, Una 5.5 degrees, Hamirpur 6.2 degrees, Bilaspur 6.5 degrees, Dalhousie 6.9 degrees, Shimla seven degrees, Dharmshala 7.2 degrees, Mandi 9.1 degrees and Nahan in Sirmaur 12.7 degrees respectively.It was mainly sunny but hazy in along the river banks in the state during the wee hours. The Met Office has forecast mainly dry condition in the state during next 24 hrs.(UNI)
