It kept alive the higher intellectual life and the study of science in a period when whole world including the west was reeling under abject darkness. It is under the patronage of Islam that science and technology flourished. After that Muslims work on BOTANY, in 18th century Muslim botanists developed more than 830 varieties of tulip. Abu Ubaidah was the first Muslim zoologist who wrote more than 100 books on zoology ,51 on horses alone. Despite of that Hajiz Basr wrote Kitabul Haiwan which discussed 350 animals alone. In physics kamalu din was the one who observed the path of rays in the interior of a glass sphere in order to examine the refraction of sunlight in rain drops.
