Daily wagers and contractual from different government offices, including Public Health Engineering (PHE) again staged a dharna in Srinagar demanding their regularization.

Holding placards that read ‘regularize the services of daily wagers and contractual’, ‘We will fight till regularization of 61000 daily wagers’, ‘do not spoil future of daily wagers and contractual’.
The agitators alleged that despite repeated assurance their services were not regularized.
“Majority of us have completed more than ten years of service as daily wagers as contractual still our services are not being regularized,” said a protester.
They said a number of daily wagers have died without getting justice.
