The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Kulgam, Dr Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat today flagged-off two Hockey teams of U-17 and U-15 age groups from mini secretariat Kulgam to Udhampur.
The teams are scheduled to participate in UT level competitions commencing from 26 November, 2021.
This is for the first time that any hockey team is going to participate at UT level from district Kulgam.
During the flag-off ceremony, the DC appreciated YSS department Kulgam and students for creating a niche among youth for hockey sport in the district.
Present on the occasion were ACR Kulgam, Tehsildar Kulgam, DYSSO Kulgam, parents of students and officials of YSS department.
