The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Pulwama, Baseer ul Haq Chaudhary today flagged off a group of 80 students hailing from all the Physical Education zones of the district for a five days Trekking programme to Yousmarg.

While interacting with the trekkers, the DC said that the objective of the Trekking is to promote integration and to imbibe a spirit of adventure among youth, build self confidence and to enhance the awareness about the environment.
He also urged the trekkers to take full advantage of the trip and learn from each other by sharing experiences and knowledge about nature.
The trekkers were enthusiastic and expressed gratitude to the Department of YS&S especially the Director, YS&S, Gazanfar Ali for providing them such an opportunity.
Meanwhile earlier in the day, the girl trekkers of the district reached back safely to their home.
