District Development Commissioner (DDC) Anantnag, Mr. Bashir Ahmad Dar today inaugurated District-level Chess & Carom championship in Anantnag. The Championship is being organised by Youth Services & Sports Anantnag in collaboration with J&K Sports Council.
On the occasion, the DDC said that sports and games play a very important role in overall development of the students. He stressed for organising more events to promote the sports culture in the district and asked the students to remain active in sports. He assured all possible help to the concerned department for promoting sports culture in the district.
