Don’t Communalize
Jammu and Kashmir is witnessing difficult times in the aftermath of Kathua rape and murder case. While after the ouster of two BJP ministers, the tension has dipped down but there is no let up in the protests from across the restive Jammu Kashmir region. New Delhi  government intervening in Kathua rape and murder case and asking the BJP leaders in Jammu and Kashmir not to Communalize the issue has relieved the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti. The BJP leaders supporting the accused arrested in connection with this case had put its coalition partner PDP in a tight spot. Despite the Chief Minister putting her foot down the BJP leaders, including the Ministers were carrying on with their activities. It looked like that situation can take an ugly turn in Jammu and Kashmir but the BJP top leaders intervened and diffused the tension. The senior PDP leader and the Works Minister Naeem Akther on Saturday said that the Chief Minister has requested the Chief Justice to set up a fast track court to carry out the trial in rape and murder case of the minor Kathua girl. Many people are of the opinion that a few people who tried to vitiate the peaceful atmosphere in the state should be dealt with sternly. BJP Ministers were sacked for participating in the rally but the people who orchestrated all this drama should be punished for becoming a part of the larger conspiracy. The government should identify the people who tried to pit one community against another and law should take its own course. Despite a few people leaving no stone unturned to trigger chaos in Jammu and Kashmir, people of Jammu region played a positive role and did not get stuck to the situation.
