The family of separatist leader Abdul Samad Inqalabi, who is undergoing treatment under police custody at Mental Hospital Srinagar Tuesday sought his immediate release as according to his brother he has undergone acute depression.
Inqalabi was arrested in December, 2018 and since then he is languishing in jail. Last week, he was shifted to Mental Hospital Srinagar under police custody after he reportedly lost his mental balance.
Muhammad Yousuf, the brother of Inqalabi said that his health has deteriorated to a great extent in jail. “After developing multiple ailments, he has now lost mental balance. He is suffering from acute depression and needs care at home. We request authorities to release him on humanitarian grounds,” he said.
