Fencing Association Budgam Organised By 1st District Fencing Championship in Collaboration with Youth Service and Sports at SNW Public School Wadwan area in central Kashmir's Budgam district.
Joint Director Kashmir Mohd Rashid besides him Dysso Inaugurated the Competitions .With the pleasant weather and despite the month of Ramadan, sports activities have started in many areas of the valley and at the same time, in the Department of Youth Services and Sports, Budgam also organized a refresher course for the employees in the last month.Fencing Association of J&K started the Ist District Fencing Championship competitions at SNW Public School Wadwan Zone Soibug in collaboration with Youth Service and Sports deptrment and this competition is being organized for the first time in the central district.Joint Director Kashmir Mohammad Rashid Kohli was the Chief Guest on the opening ceremony along with Dysso Balbir Singh Sodhi, the competitions were inaugurated while the President Fencing Association Sheikh Farooq, besides the staff of the Sports Department, were also present on the occasion Fencing Association, Budgam the boys as well as Girls participated enthusiastically in the competition under different u-14,u-17& u-19 categories in SNW Public School wadwan.Remember, the fencing competitions under different categories in which u-19 Zaheen Malik of Soibug and Shabroor Shabir won,Adnan Gulzar defeated Sufail Hameed in Under-17 and Fazil Nazir defeated Sohail Majeed in Under-14 category.Joint Director Kashmir in his speech urged the children to further participate in fencing events and actively participate in other sports, so that they can shine the name of their district.while the Guests jointly distributed the medals among the players.
