The first batch of pilgrims for the Amarnath Yatra 2024 has successfully reached the Baltal Base Camp.

The pilgrims were warmly welcomed by the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) of Kangan, Bilal Mukhtar who assured them of foolproof arrangements for a safe and smooth pilgrimage.

SDM Kangan expressed his gratitude and excitement for the commencement of this year's Yatra. He emphasized the extensive preparations and coordination efforts made by various departments to ensure the well-being and comfort of the devotees.

Interacting with the devotees, SDM Kangan said that district administration
is committed to providing the best possible facilities and ensuring the safety of all pilgrims. Our teams have worked tirelessly to make sure that the arrangements are top-notch, he added.

He also highlighted the significance of the Amarnath Yatra and the administration's dedication to maintaining its sanctity and tradition.

The Baltal Base Camp is equipped with all necessary amenities, including medical facilities, sanitation, and security measures. The SDM also mentioned that continuous monitoring and support would be provided throughout the Yatra period.
