The Department of Youth Services and Sports J&K is organising competitions in different sports disciplines across J&K.

A statement issued here said that in central Kashmir’s Budgam District, inter zonal District level competitions are being organised for under 14 years boys in Football on knockout basis.

"Teams from twelve zones of Budgam district are participating in the tournament," it added.

It further said that District Youth Services & Sports Officer Budgam Masrat Jan inaugurated the event. She was flanked by other senior officers of DYSSO Budgam.

Pertinently in a recent communique, Director YSS Gazanfar Ali had stressed upon the officers and officials of the Department to follow the already circulated activity calendar with utmost seriousness.

While acting upon these directions, sports activities are being organised in all the 20 districts of the UT with a special focus on the maximum participation of school going children, it added.
