Forces launch massive search operations in Kashmir’s Shopian

A Cordon and Search Operation was launched in nine villages of Jammu and Kashmir’s Shopian district.
The Shopian Police, 62 Rashtriya Rifles (RR), 3 RR and the 14th Battalion of Central Police Reserve Force (CRPF) are conducting the search operations.
The villages under the cordon are Chakoora, Mantribug, Zaipora, Pratabpora, Takipora , Ranipora, Ratnipora, Dangam and Wangam.
Meanwhile ,forces on Friday evening launched a search operation at Wadoora area of Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
Official sources said that a joint team of Special Operation Group (SOG) of police and paramilitary CRPF following inputs about the presence of some militants launched a search operation at Wadoora Payeen near SKIAST campus.
The joint team also fired some warning shots towards the suspected area however, there was no retailation when this report was filed.
SSP Sopore Harmeet Singh when contacted said that forces fired some shots in the area following after some suspicious movement
