A foreign terrorist was killed in an encounter with security forces in forest area of Lolab in North Kashmir Kupwara district.
A top police officer said terrorist was neutralized in a gunfight, which erupted on intervening Tuesday and Wednesday night in forest area in Devar Andherbugh.
"The identity of the killed terrorist remains unknown," the officer said, adding, the forces have recovered an AK-47 rifle, 4 AK-47 magazines, 97 AK-47 live rounds, 2 hand grenades, one each of a tactical pouch and medicine kit.
Meanwhile, the forces have upped the vigil and intensified search operation in the area
