As temperature continues to soar, the state administration on Thursday announced ten-day summer break in schools falling in Kashmir valley and winter zone of Jammu division.
According to an order of the Government of Jammu and Kashmir, all schools in the two divisions will close on July 15 and open on July 25.
According to the Government Order No: 226-Edu of 2019 issued by school education department: “It is hereby ordered that all the Government Educational Institutions and recognized private schools up to higher secondary level functioning in the Kashmir Division and winter zone of Jammu division shall observe summer vacation w.e.f July 15, 2019, to July 24 2019.”
The much needed summer break comes amid soaring temperature in the Kashmir Valley as well as Jammu region which has been reeling under intense heat wave conditions.
