Grenade attack leaves three CRPF men injured

At least three Para-military Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel were injured after suspected militants tossed a grenade over them in Wonpou area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district.

Sources told news agency CNS that suspected militants targeted a patrolling party with a grenade that exploded with a bang creating panic in the area. “The attack left three CRPF men from 90 Battalion wounded who were immediately shifted to Sub-District hospital Anantnag,” an official told CNS.

The official identified the wounded personnel as Arun Kumar, Deepak Kumar and Amit Kumar. IG CRPF who reached the spot shortly after the attack told reporters that assailants will be identified and nabbed. (CNS)
