In view of forthcoming GELS-2024 and to uphold the motto of ‘Free and Fair Elections’, Handwara Police has launched a Special Helpline Number which will be active 24x7. It is further informed that the number will primarily function to mitigate the potential threat posed by objectionable messages circulated through various social media platforms.

Recipients of such objectionable messages can forward the content along with the sender details on the Election Helpline Number "7051404201". Upon receiving forwarded messages, Handwara Police will promptly initiate inquiries to trace the original senders and appropriate legal action will be taken under the relevant provisions of the Law.
