August 01, 2020 | BK News Setrvice/Srinagar

After brief relief due to rain in the wee hours of Friday, hot and humid weather continued in the Kashmir valley, where the mercury remained above normal.
A Met department spokesman said this evening that weather warning has ended in the Kashmir valley and Jammu region. The weather will remain dry in Kashmir and Ladakh region while there could be isolated rain in Jammu during the next 24 hours. There will be further decrease in the precipitation during the subsequent two days, he said.
Early morning rain in majority areas brought some relief, much to the delight of people. However, the joy short-lived as the sky become clear and sun was again out as usual. Though sun was playing hide and seek and winds were also blowing, the weather remained hot and humid.
The Met spokesman said the maximum and minimum temperatures remained above normal in the Kashmir valley, including summer capital, Srinagar, where not much people were seen out for shopping though shops and other business establishments were open.
