Huge crowd witness Baramulla Premier Leauge 2017

Army conducted two month long Baramulla Premier League, 2017 which witnessed participation of 51 teams from various parts of Baramulla district. A total of 32 teams qualified for the elite competition and were divided into four pools of eight teams each. The tournament engaged a large number of youth of the district.
The exciting final was played between BCC Reds and United Star Baramulla at Showkat Ali Stadium, Baramulla. The final match witnessed a large turnout of cricket lovers of all ages from Baramulla district, prominent personalities from civil and district administration besides senior Army and Police officers were also present. Maj Gen RP Kalita, SM, VSM, GOC Dagger Division presented the Winner’s Trophy to BCC Reds and the individual prizes during the closing ceremony.
This annual sporting extravaganza provided a huge platform to the young budding sportsmen to showcase their talent and prepares them for exciting future prospects. The tournament was a huge success in engaging the youth, providing them with excellent opportunities while to home their skills.
