IASE hampers academic activities of B.Ed students

Srinagar: The Institute of Advanced Studies in Education (IASE) in a gross violation of rules is reportedly preventing its B.Ed students from performing mandatory academic activities in a bid to conduct early examinations, a group of B.Ed students alleged.
The students pursuing B.Ed at Institute of Advanced Studies in Education (IASE) stated they were supposed to depute in different schools for the purpose of 45 days of teaching practice, a major rule in regular B.Ed curriculum. They said the college administration just to accomplish the goal to conduct early examinations have asked students to go for the teaching practice in the College camp only.
“The college administration have issued the notification for examination to be started from 1st week of January, adding, to pursue B.Ed contrary to the Distance education we had chosen IASE, now that the administration is conducting teaching practice inside the college instead of different schools is a major violation of rules and regulations,” said a student.
The students appealed the concerned authority to intervene in the matter so as to better education is provided them within the ambit of rules and regulations. (KNO)
