Despite SMC's tall claims of stopping illegal constructions in the Srinagar city, it is going on unabated in Bhagat area of the city.

Illegal structure is coming up in Bhagat area of Srinagar and work is going on without seeking any permission from the competent authorities.
"The work on the construction is carried out during night hours without any interruption. The construction material is mixed somewhere away from the site and is brought to the site by using Mobile mixers," sources added.
Commissioner and Secretary of Srinagar Municipal Corporation, but so far they have failed to take any action against the violators.
