Deputy Mayor Srinagar Municipal Corporation who is facing detention at Centure Subsidiary Jail was shifted to Bone and Joint Hospital after he complained of pain in his knees.
Scores of political leaders and activists are languishing at Centure Subsidiary Jail since August 5 when Government of India annulled the special status in Jammu and Kashmir. Deputy Mayor Srinagar Municipal Corporation Sheikh Imran who had joined Sajad Lone led Jammu Kashmir Poeples Conference was also detained.
Authorities immediately shifted Sheikh Imran to Bone and Joint Hospital for treatment after he developed pain in his knees. Sources added that he was shifted back to subsidiary jail after treated by doctors.
