India's development matrix on the rise: Telangana Governor

A media delegation from Jammu and Kashmir called on Governor of Telangana Jishnu Dev Varma at Rajbhavan, here on Wednesday.
About twelve journalists from various newspapers of J&K are on tour to Telangana as part of the ‘Press Tour’ organized by Press Information Bureau, wherein journalists from one region are taken to another to understand the implementation of policies and programmes of the Government at the ground level.
The delegation was headed by Shruti Patil, Additional Director General, PIB Hyderabad and Tariq Rather, Deputy Director of PIB, Srinagar.
Welcoming the media delegation, Governor Varma said, “Telangana is a state which is rich in culture, heritage, art, and crafts.  Hyderabad's industrialization and development are significant achievements”.
Lauding the initiative of PIB in organizing such tours for journalists, Governor said, “In today's age of communication and high-profile journalism, such visits are very significant. Visiting districts to observe the government's best practices and taking those learning back to their respective states helps in strengthening our democratic setup.”
Governor Varma also spoke about India’s development matrix being on the ascendancy over the last decade and expressed confidence in the country progressing further under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Additional Director General PIB Hyderabad Shruti Patil briefed the Governor about the programme that had been chalked for the visiting delegation, including stops at the Indian National Centre for Ocean Information Services (INCOIS) and the National Institute of Nutrition (NIN).
PIB Jammu & Kashmir has organised this five-day media tour under the Central Sector Scheme 'Development Communication & Information.
The tour is aimed at fostering an understanding and collaboration between journalists from J&K and Telangana, showcasing the diverse media practices and government efforts in Telangana. The delegation's interactions have resulted in a rich exchange of knowledge and experiences, contributing to the broader narrative of India's regional diversity and development.
The week-long itinerary of the media delegation includes visits to national institutions like INCOIS, NIN, NSTI and interacting with the beneficiaries of various government schemes. The delegation comprised journalists from dailies of Jammu and Kashmir like Excelsior, Asian Mail, Kashmir Monitor, Gadyal, Kashmir Observer, Brighter Kashmir, State Times, Dainik State Samachar and Udaan.
