
The Girls KHO KHO tournament organized by Indian Army in Muhri had started on 15 Sep 2022 with the league matches between Govt schools of Muhri, Ladda and Nagsari with 02 teams from each school. All matches were held at Govt High School Nagsari over 3 days in which a total of 66 girls had participated.
Despite space constraints in the hilly terrain, girls from Muhri practiced at Nagsari and it was their first exposure to the game at School level. Their willingness to excel in extra curricular activities was supported by Army and the girls played surprisingly well in the league matches. The final match of Kho Kho was played between Govt High School Nagsari and Govt Middle School Ladda at 1130 hrs today. Both teams played with sportsmen spirit and the girls of Govt Middle School Ladda won the Finals. BDC Kalaroos was also present during the match to boost the morale of the girls. Around 150 children were present during the event including 10 teachers and 02 Umpires . At the end of the event, prize distribution was held with trophy and cash prize to the Winners and Runners Up. The locals have witnessed such zeal and enthusiasm in girls for the first time in girls as they have been preparing for the matches even with their busy exam schedule. The parents of the girls were very happy to see them play and the teachers also appreciated the efforts of Army to organize the games at School level. The locals are now giving more importance to education for girls and requested to conduct more games in future.
