The word "Islam" itself is derived from the Arabic word "Salam" which translates to peace. Islam directs it's followers to be gentle, complacent & respected towards everyone regardless of his race, ethnicity or religion. The teachings of Islam suggest that people are equal in the eyes of Allah(Swt) & that justice must be served for all. Islam never stands for killing innocent people. In fact, there is no room for killing even an animal or a bird in Islam.

The Holy Quran clearly states that," And create not disorder in the earth after it has been set in order"(7:56).In another verse Allah (SWT) states that, "whosoever kills a person(innocent),it shall be as if he has killed all humanity. And whosoever gives life to one, it shall be as if he has given life to all humanity"(06:33).In accordance with these verses, it is felonious in Islam to kill an impeccable person. Anyone specially a Muslim if does the same, commits a grave sin & breaches the doctrine of Islam.
There are various hadith where the Prophet (PBUH) forbade the slaying of innocent women & children. Once enquired about the grave sins he cited four, one among them was slaying an innocent soul(Sahih Bukhari).In another narration the Prophet (PBUH) said, whosoever slayed a person having a treaty with the Muslims (living under Muslim protection) will not smell the aroma of paradise though it's fragrance is perceived from a distance of forty year(Sahih Bukhari).He perpetually kept guiding his Sahaba to behave well towards their neighbours, saying; “He will not enter Paradise whose neighbour is not safe from his evil”(Sahih muslim).one day he found a female bird smiting her wings on the ground in grief. He asked his Sahaba: 'what happened to her?' they replied: we took her young ones out of her Nidus'. The prophet (PBUH) said:' return them to her. No mother must be inflicted because of her child (Muslim).
Away from inducing terror & abhorrence among it's followers, Islam keeps on insisting sympathy & complacency for everyone regardless of caste, colour & religion .A true believer is always on the receiving end of terrorism, never on the delivering end. Those who execute terror attacks in the name of Islam have nothing to do with Islam. They are hypocrites & try to defame the image of Islam. Islam is about security, endurance, am more and confederation. It is apt to conclude with the beautiful couplet of Ameer Minai,"khanjar chalay kisi par tadaptay hai hum Ameeer, saray jahan ka dard humary jiger mai hai! Totally dazed by the dastardly incident at Pahalgam transpired couple of days ag . Paying my glorious tributes to the victims & my heart goes out to them & their families.
