JRL calls for complete shutdown on May 17 across Kashmir

May 16, 2019 | BK ONLINE

Joint Resistance Leaders (JRL) in a press release made a fervent appeal to observe a complete shutdown on May 17, 2019, Friday against the gruesome killings of innocent civilians Arshad Ahmad Dar (Pattan), raies Ahmad Dar (Pulwama) and Nayeem Ahmad Shah (Baderwah) at the hands of Indian occupation forces even during the ongoing holy month of Ramadan.

JRL also appealed, especially the youth to maintain peace and discipline while leading the protest march after Friday prayers in the nook and corner of the state.

Blaming India of turning Jammu and Kashmir into shambles and a war field where people suffer from a deep sense of insecurity, the JRL said our life, honour and all belongings are at stake.

JRL appealed all the respected Imams and Khateebs to apprise the subjugated people about the ongoing wave of oppression and repression at the hands of occupation forces. They also appealed people especially youth to maintain discipline and dignity during the peaceful protests against Indian barbarism.

Expressing its grave concern on the volatile situation where as a routine matter people get killed maimed, blinded by pellets and randomly incarcerated on flimsy and baseless grounds, the JRL appealed UN Seceratry General to take strong note of the gross violation of human rights in Jammu and Kashmir and help resolve it in accordance with the wishes and aspirations of the people
