JRL calls for Valley-wide protests after Friday prayers

The Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) led by Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Mohammad Yasin Malik on Thursday called for peace full Kashmir-wide protests after Friday congregational prayers against killing of civilians, “indiscriminate use of pellet and vandalising of properties.”
He impressed all sections of society including Aima Masajid, teachers, lawyers, intellectuals, civil societies, traders, students, state employees for their participation against “state sponsored terrorism”.
Appealing international community for their cognizance of the “appalling state-sponsored terrorism”, the JRL in a statement issued to GNS impressed upon world to raise their voice and come to the rescue of “subjugated” people in Kashmir.
Meanwhile Syed Ali Geelani and Mirwaiz Umar Farooq continue to be under house arrest and Mohammad Yasin Malik was arrested and lodged in central jail.
The leadership added, “The growing Indian aggression against unarmed and peaceful people in the state has touched the alarm line and turned this beautiful place into a battlefield. Under a well-thought-out plan, the Indian authorities, forces and their henchmen are carrying out genocide.”
The JRL appealed the Amnesty International, Asia Watch and other international human rights organisations to break their silence and take cognizance of the “plight of the suppressed and oppressed people of the state of Jammu and Kashmir and urged them to fulfil their obligations in accordance with human rights specified for the world community”.
Meanwhile Hurriyat (G) Chairman Syed Ali Geelani while condemning the civilian killing in Khudwani Kulgam in South Kashmir said that “the innocent civilians in Jammu and Kashmir are facing worst type of state sponsored terrorism.”
Appealing UN General Secretary, OIC and world human rights bodies for their cognizance, he said “this inhuman act of the government forces is an eye-opener for the world human rights bodies and the international community”.
“The world community should take note of Indian barbarism and make the so-called democracy answerable for all crimes its occupying forces are committing in Kashmir,” Geelani said.
As per the statement he said, “Innocent killing is barbarous and unacceptable.Indian forces present in Jammu Kashmir are committing crimes against humanity and unleashing terror due to the unbridled powers they enjoy under the draconian laws.”
Geelani extended condolences to the bereaved families and added “we were mourning the Shopian massacre and trigger-happy forces created one more mayhem in Kulgam,” he added.
“The trigger happy Indian soldiers, without any fear of penalisation, keep killing our people and international community, civil society and human rights organisations maintain their criminal silence over these innocent killings”, Geelani said.
