Kashmir : PDP cancels Sep 9 rally

Rally was scheduled to be addressed by visiting Rajnath Singh

Ruling PDP has cancelled its rally scheduled on September 10 when Home Minister Rajnath Singh was reported to address the rally.
PDP General Secretary Nizam-u-Din Bhat told KNS that the rally has been cancelled. Though, Bhat did not say the reason why the PDP president and CM Mehbooba Mufti has taken the decision.
The rally was scheduled to be addressed by visiting Rajnath Singh, who is visiting for two-days to the state beginning September 9.
The PDP has planned the rally at Sher-e-Kashmir Cricket Stadium as its legislators were moblising their workers to the venue.
Meanwhile,the JRL urged people of Kashmir to observe complete shutdown on the upcoming visit of Indian Home Minister on Sunday September 10, 2017. By observing the strike, people of Kashmir will prove to the world community and the Indian leadership that by using military might against the people or harassing the leadership genuine and people’s movement in Kashmir cannot be crushed
The JRL said that Kashmir issue is not territorial or law and order dispute but a political dispute
