Le Panga Khel Kabaddi-4 Tournament concluded at Sopore

The fourth season of the provincial level Kabaddi tournament titled ‘Le Panga Khel Kabaddi’ concluded at Nowpora Sopore.

On the occasion, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramulla, Dr G N Itoo presided over as the Chief Guest and the tournament was organized by District Youth and Services department in collaboration with the local organizers.
As many as 32 teams from across Kashmir province participated in the tournament and the final match was played between Nowpora Green KC and Mutalhama Kulgam Lines and was won by Kulgam Lines by 2 points.
The DC while addressing the gathering said that sports acts as the best platform where our talented youth can channelize their potential. He said various initiatives are being taken to promote sports culture among our enthusiastic and aspiring youth adding that administration is committed to develop sports infrastructure.
DC also said that sports have a positive and constructive role in our social and psychological development adding that such events enable our youth to divert their attention towards positive pursuits.
He also urged the youth to participate in sports activities with more zeal and vigor besides assured every possible assistance from the administration.
Meanwhile, the DC distributed the awards among the winners and other best performing players.
