Twenty-year-old Suhaira Ashraf has been in the spotlight as Kashmir’s one of the youngest female football coaches, who is coaching the junior players for last two years.
Born and brought up in Qamarwari area of Srinagar city, Suheera started to play football in her childhood, and continued it, till the date.
“I have started my football carrier in my childhood, when i was in 2nd class. For last ten years, i have been associated to it actively,” Suhaira shares.
As per Suhaira, she is now coaching the junior players for last two years (since 2017-18) and in this connection, she started her own football academy titled as "Kashmir football academia" at Eidgah Srinagar.
“As a player i played a lot of football in and outside the Kashmir valley like Maharastra, Manipur and Gurgaon. After that i started to impart football training through different clubs. Late on, i opened my own academy where i train the junior & aspiring football players now,” she said.
Besides Eidgah Srinagar, Suhaira Asharf "use to impart football training among school children" at Polo ground in Srinagar and Budgam.
