Mehbooba, Vohra, Abdullahs greet people on Eid ul Fitr

Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti has greeted people of the State on the occasion of Eid ul Fitr.
In her message, the Chief Minister prayed the month long fasting and the night long supplications of the faithful are accepted and rewarded by the Almighty. She hoped the spirit of generosity, discipline and piety generated through the Holy month is carried hereafter by people in day to day life as well. She also hoped this Eid brings along everlasting peace, happiness and prosperity to the people of the State.
The Chief Minister appealed people not to forget the disadvantageous sections of society particularly orphans, widows, destitute and all those who suffered during the turmoil of past three decades during the festivities of Eid and play their positive role in bringing them back to the mainstream of society.
On the occasion, Mehbooba Mufti also prayed for communal harmony, brotherhood and upholding human values in the State.
Meanwhile, Governor N. N. Vohra has conveyed warm greetings to the people of Jammu and Kashmir on the joyous occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.
In a message of felicitations, the Governor expressed hope that this auspicious occasion would be the harbinger of peace, progress, prosperity and happiness and would strengthen the bonds of communal harmony, brotherhood and amity, which are the hallmarks of J&K’s glorious pluralistic traditions. Governor prayed for the progress and well-being of the people of the State.
Meanwhile, National Conference President Dr. Farooq Abdullah and Vice President Omar Abdullah have greeted the people on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.
Praying for peace and prosperity in the State, Dr. Farooq Abdullah in his message said “The spirit behind the observance of Eid-ul-Fitr is to express our thanks to Almighty Allah for giving us the courage to observe fasting in the month of Ramzan and rededicate ourselves to the path of truthfulness, sincerity, self-control, patience and human dignity”.
In his message on Eid-ul-Fitr, NC Vice President Omar Abdullah has extended his warmest greetings to the people of the State and prayed this auspicious occasion becomes a new harbinger for peace and amity in the State. He also hoped that this auspicious occasion would strengthen the bonds of communal harmony and brotherhood.
Senior Party Leaders, legislators and functionaries have also greeted people on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr and prayed for peace, stability and prosperity in the State.
