Government forces Friday claimed to have busted a militant hideout in north Kashmir Kupwara district.
As per officials the government security forces unearthed a hideout at Kawari woods in Kupwara district and recovered a war-like store.
“During searches by joint teams, a hideout was unearthed by the security forces,” the official said.
He said arms including four AK-47 magazines with 15 rounds, a hand grenade and a Telescope besides Map and a cutter were recovered.
He said that the joint operation was carried out by Jammu and Kashmir police, Army's 28 RR, and 163 BN Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).
He said that recoveries have been made and further course of the investigation and more related is being done.
A senior police officer also confirmed the recovery of arms and ammunition.
