MTS tests postponed till Sept-Oct, AICTE to hold camp for J&K students in Delhi

The written test for recruitment of Multi Tasking Staff (MTS), examination which was scheduled to be conducted tomorrow by the Staff Selection Commission, Chandigarh, has been postponed till September-October.
Meanwhile, All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) is going to organize Grievance redressal camp for the students of Jammu and Kashmir at its office in the national capital, New Delhi onJune 3.
However, the education department has decided to fill all vacant posts in Jammu and Kashmir.
An official spokesman said here today that according to the Sub Divisional Magistrate (East) Srinagar, written test for recruitment of MTS examination to be conducted by the Staff Selection Commission, Chandigarh which was scheduled on May 28, 2017 has been postponed.
The said examination would now be conducted by the Staff Selection Commission afresh in the computer based mode, tentatively during September-October-2017.
He said AICTE is going to organize Grievance redressal camp for the students of Jammu and Kashmir at its office in the national capital.
The camp will be held at AICTE Nelson Mandela Marg in New Delhi to address the issues faced by students of Jammu and Kashmir studying in different educational institutions across the country under Prime Minister’s Special Scholarship Scheme.
The AICTE has asked the students from J&K having any specific grievances concerning the release of scholarship under the scheme to attend the camp on June 3 at 1100 hrs onwards.
The spokesman said the Minister for Education, Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari has said the posts of Headmasters, Zonal Educational Officer (ZEOs), Chief Education Officers (CEOs) and other vacancies in the Education Department will be got filled at the earliest through recruiting agencies.
