National Conference OBC Cell on Monday organised a road show at Nawabad area of Bhathandi here to celebrate the mega victory of the party in the just concluded Lok Sabha elections.

 "The clean sweep on all the seats the party contested speaks of the expectations the people have with the National Conference", Co Chairperson of the Cell said while addressing the workers before the take off of the road show.

 He said National Conference is the only party that can steer Jammu and Kashmir to peace, progress and development under the dynamic leadership of Dr Farooq Abdullah and Mr Omar Abdullah. He said the state is confronted with numerous challenges which are to be met by maintaining and preserving unity and tranquility.

 The Co Chairperson and the other speakers congratulated Dr Farooq Abdullah, Mr Mohammed Akbar Lone and Justice (Retd) Hasnain Masoodi for their splendid victory from Srinagar, Baramulla and Anantnag parliamentary constituencies respectively. They said the party cadre was fully prepared for the assembly elections.

 Carrying placards the OBC Cell raised slogans aimed at strengthening brotherhood in true spirit of the cherished policy of Hindu, Muslim, Sikh, Christian and Bhudist Etehad.

 Prominent among those present in the road show included: Mr D.D Mehta, Mr Rattan Lal, Mr Sita Ram, Mr Partab Singh, Mr Prem Lal, Mr Shahid Mohd , Mr Vinod Mehra, Mr S. C Mehra, Mr Khalid Hussain, Mr D.P Kataria and others.
